Project Type: Instructional Demonstration Video
Tools Used: DSLR Camera, Tripod, Lighting Kit, Adobe Premiere Pro, Voiceover Mic
Goal: To apply multimedia learning principles and demonstrate the ability to design and deliver procedural instruction through video. The goal was to guide novice coffee brewers in mastering the Chemex pour-over technique using clear sequencing, concise narration, and visual cues that support cognitive processing.
Overview:
This video demonstrates the ability to transform a hands-on task into a digital learning experience aligned with Mayer’s Multimedia Principles (modality, signaling, and coherence). Filmed and edited independently, the video includes step-by-step demonstrations, on-screen text, and narration designed for asynchronous learning. It reflects skills in visual design, instructional pacing, and task analysis, and can be repurposed for microlearning or just-in-time performance support.
