This 15-question quiz helps benchmark learners’ prior knowledge of usability and accessibility. Designed to activate prior learning and guide instructional focus, it demonstrates assessment alignment and thoughtful sequencing
This module delivers curated readings, multimedia, and original instructional content to build foundational understanding of usability and accessibility. It demonstrates instructional design skills in content curation, learner engagement strategy, and alignment to UDL and WCAG standards.

We integrated a reflective discussion activity to encourage peer learning and real-world application. Learners shared examples of poor usability or accessibility from their own experiences and proposed solutions. This promoted knowledge transfer, systems thinking, and collaborative engagement.

This assignment simulated a task instructional designers regularly face when auditing course documents for accessibility. Learners reviewed a provided file, identified issues, and implemented improvements. The activity emphasized applied practice, document remediation, and alignment with WCAG and UDL principles.
The course concluded with a summative assessment designed to reinforce key concepts from the module. The quiz assessed learners’ understanding of usability and accessibility principles using scenario-based questions, aligned with measurable learning objectives.
